100 Forever Stamps 2019 USPS First-Class Postage Stamp Winter Berries 5 Books (20Pcs/Book)

The U.S. Postal Service is celebrating the beauty of winter with the Winter Berries Forever stamps. This collection pays tribute to four vibrant berries that thrive during the winter season: the winterberry (Ilex verticillata), the juniper berry (Juniperus communis), the beautyberry (Callicarpa Americana), and the soapberry (Sapindus saponaria).

The stamps feature highly detailed botanical portraits of each plant, showcasing the bold colors and rich textures of their berries. These small yet vibrant offerings brighten the winter landscape and add a touch of beauty to the season.

Artist Steve Buchanan collaborated with Art Director Antonio Alcalá to create these stunning stamp designs, capturing the essence of each berry in intricate detail.

The unveiling ceremony for the Winter Berries stamps took place in Tulsa, where the United States Postal Service showcased the collection at the Tulsa Botanic Garden. Steven Phelps, the acting vice president of Pricing and Costing at the U.S. Postal Service, expressed his excitement about unveiling stamps that celebrate nature’s wonders and add a touch of color to the winter season.

The Winter Berries booklet contains 20 stamps and is issued as Forever stamps. As Forever stamps, they will always be valued at the current First-Class Mail 1-ounce price, regardless of any future price changes.

The unveiling ceremony was attended by Barbara Sturdivant, the chair of the Tulsa Botanic Garden Board of Directors, Todd Lasseigne, the president and CEO of Tulsa Botanic Garden, and Raymond Red Corn, the assistant principal chief of Osage Nation. The event brought together individuals who appreciate and value the beauty of nature, as represented by these Winter Berries stamps.
